October - Pruning

If you have a laurel hedge then it only really needs pruning once a year and to get the best results this needs to be done with secateurs. If you cut through a leaf then the edge browns, so by using a hedge trimmer on the sides this will result in you looking at brown edges for a year! Cut the sides back with secateurs and use the hedge trimmer for the top where you don’t see the cut edges.
